Pink Siifu

Pink Siifu makes music that reflects the ideas, life, and struggles experienced through Blackness, bringing family, culture, and faith to light. Most times, his music stretches from soul, punk, jazz, rap and experimental. Always working on new music and visual projects, he's positioned himself in the East Coast close to the home of hip-hop. The New York Times describes Pink Siifu as "a Shape-Shifting Musician With One Demand: Don’t Box Me In." His 2021 album, GUMBO'! is an album that pays homage to the trunk-rattling bass and downtempo Southern rap of Atlanta’s Dungeon Family. Featuring an amalgamation of sounds and features that touch the different generations of Hip-Hop, Siifu pushes all the boundaries of Southern Hip-Hop in this genre-bending album. WIth the release of the GUMBO'! DELUXE'!, Siifu further expands the sound with features from underground staples like Zeeloopers and Valee, as well as production from the highly-acclaimed Kenny Beats. Shifting between styles with deftness, Alabama's elusive Pink Siifu found underground success in the late 2010s with his experimental blend of genres. Piecing together aspects of his wide-ranging influences, the musician built an extensive catalog during the 2010s, releasing a total of 46 EPs, albums, and mixtapes throughout the decade.
