The Life of a Showgirl

The Life of a Showgirl is the twelfth studio album by the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on October 3, 2025, through Republic Records. Swift wrote and produced the album with Max Martin and Shellback, recording it in Sweden during the European leg of the Eras Tour in 2024. Inspired by the tour and her romantic relationship with the American football player Travis Kelce, she conceived The Life of a Showgirl as a vibrant and lively album reflecting her state of mind at the time. A soft pop and soft rock album, The Life of a Showgirl incorporates retro musical influences, new wave-leaning compositions, and percussive arrangements featuring piano, guitars, strings, synthesizers, and keyboards. Its confessional lyrics explore Swift's experiences with fame and the entertainment industry as well as her contentment in love, incorporating literary references, sexual innuendos, and internet slang terms. The album's title track features guest vocals from the singer Sabrina Carpenter.
